In good times, we tend to forget the bad times. This is normal because humans are often motivated by pain or pleasure. We tend to move towards people and circumstances that either give or promise to give us good times, memories and experiences. Maya Angelou, a poet and social activist, captured this succinctly when she said “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
