I grew up in a part of town where I was exposed to different types of social vices, I saw first hand the impact poor parenting, negative peer pressure and limiting culture can have on individuals, relationships and families. As a matter of fact, many of my peers either became pregnant, dropped out of school, got addicted to hard drugs or became robbers. We eventually had to relocate when the financial state of my parents improved. However, many seeds had been sown because that was when my mind was still very impressionable. This experience gave me a warped impression about people, relationships and marriage, colouring life as a battle field where ‘dog eats dog’.
When I became an adult and had the new birth experience, one thing led to another and I was introduced to the world of self-development as I began to search for the secret to predictable success. This was the period I got addicted to self-development and cultivating awesome relationships.
I have devoured countless resources, books, training programmes, videos, workshops on life and marriage because I know that who we are is what we bring into every relationship and marriage. In other words, to have a better marriage you must be a better version of you as it relates to your character, competence and charm (personality). Are you feeling stuck, frustrated and angry about your life and marriage? Are you trying your best to raise your children without success? Do you have little love and respect for your spouse?
THINK & ACT: The change you are looking for must begin with you becoming a better version of you. Do you have a Romance Development Plan, or are you relying on hope to bring you to a better future?
