True love is many things in one (unconditional, unselfish, kind, etc.), it is also consistent. We all know that the Sun rises from the East, but can you imagine what the case would be if we are uncertain as to whether it would rise from the South, North, West or East? If we love our spouses, we must show it regularly, not only on Valentine’s Day. During one of our Couples’ event, someone asked me if I am sure that my wife loves me, without even analysing the statement, I emphatically said that I am 110% certain she does. This is because this truth has been proven many times before that question was asked. In the same way, as parents, our children must be able to know that dad and mum will always love them, no matter what. This knowledge is a powerful foundation for their self-image. Simply put, love is a stamp of value.
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword. Romans 8:35. Considering that marriage is a typology of the relationship between God and Ecclesia (The Church), you and your spouse must be assured, beyond every reasonable doubt, of your unwavering love for each other. This is one of the principles of lifelong marital romance. Hence, go beyond February 14th, and ensure you demonstrate to your spouse that you will always love him/her, no matter the situation; say it, act it, live it, seize every situation and much more than this, create the opportunity. How do I do this?, you may ask. If your spouse loves gifts, kind words, your undivided attention, helping out at home, Spa, etc., make it a regular habit to do them, be consistent, be consistent, be consistent!
What will you do differently?
