Everything working effectively has a system or principle to it. Marriage, of course, is not an exception. There is a way to communicate, resolve conflict, connect with your spouse and build romance. If you lack information in these areas, you will end up being hurt and you will hurt others, especially those closest to you.
To be a professional in most countries, for instance, a medical doctor, people invest a minimum of 15 years and even after qualifying, they are still expected to upgrade their skills and knowledge from time to time through various courses. We think relationships and marriage, which greatly influence our lives, should be taken seriously as well. As couples, we must prepare for the marriage we want, there is a role for prayer and there is also a role for knowledge, wisdom and research. Wisdom is still the principle thing.
When last did you attend a seminar or read a book? Do you have mentors whose marriage you admire? Do you have a goal for your marriage?
Don’t be one of those who leave their marriages to chance, be proactive.
ACTION POINT: Develop a marriage-improvement plan.
