As we walked through the mall on Valentine’s day 2016, we were amazed at the throng of people trying to buy different gifts for their loved ones. It is that time of the year when the media, restaurants, shopping malls, resort centres, etc., come together to send messages of love.
There is nothing wrong with this, but it is important to point out that expressing love and romance should be a daily affair, not once a year.
We all want the lovely experience, the bond, the romance, but these things are ‘fruits’ and results of consistent effort over a period of time.
Building any thing of worth takes time, commitment, focus, endurance, sacrifice, etc.. These virtues are often not projected in the movies, which is why many people are confused.
Our message is that VALENTINE experience for married couples should be a daily experience!
ACTION PLAN: Make daily investments in your marriage. Do 2 things, daily, that make your spouse smile; it could be a joke, a text, a massage, a gift, etc..
Make your spouse’s happiness your mission!
